Thanks to its anatomical cut, the Sorpasso Pro follows the contours of your body as you move on the bike. While its expertly contoured panels allow for natural flex at the knees and hips so that you can pedal smoothly and freely, the highly stretchy yet compressive fabric wraps your muscles, providing warmth, support and all-day comfort. For the best possible stable fit, the seamless bib straps lie flat and do not move while cycling. The bib tight also includes subtle reflective elements that are well positioned to enhance your visibility and go perfectly with the elegant design. Finally, the Sorpasso Pro bib tight uses Castelli's Progetto X2 Air seamless chamois for comfort on long rides.
With all these features, the Sorpasso Pro really is the ultimate winter bib tight – it makes you go fast and feel comfortable, and is ready for whatever the season brings.
Definitivo warm fabric
This robust yet stretchy fabric, developed by Castelli, provides warmth, an excellent fit and muscle support during high-intensity exercise.
What is it about this fabric that Castelli calls the bib tight a "workhorse" for the entire season?
A bib tight that you wear throughout the winter season must be designed for a wider temperature range than a specialist model designed for extreme cold or, rather, for mild conditions. The Definitivo fabric is, therefore, not the warmest or the most windproof option in Castelli's range, but it is the most consistent one; it performs reliably between 2°C and 14°C, so that you don't have to reach for different cycling tights every time the temperature fluctuates. This makes the Sorpasso Pro the go-to legwear you don't need to think twice about.
Anatomical shaping at the hips and knees
Castelli has shaped the bib tight in such a way that it follows the natural contours of your body while cycling, allowing you to pedal smoothly and without restriction.
Flat, elasticated bib straps
The seamless bib straps lie flat on your back and shoulders and stay in well place, without slipping or chafing on long distances.
Zipperless ankle finish
There are no zips at the ankles, which prevents chafing and reduces bulk under your overshoes.
Progetto X2 Air seat pad
This seamless chamois ensures comfort on long rides in the cold, when you often spend more time in the saddle than in summer.
- Temperatures between 2°C and 14°C – the bulk of your winter season;
- Rides where you wear overshoes – the zipless ankle finish takes up less space under them.
- The very coldest days, with temperatures well below freezing – in such conditions, a bib tight specifically designed for extreme cold will be warmer;
- Mild temperatures well above 14°C – in such conditions, a lighter, thinner model will be more comfortable.
- Wash the bib tight inside out at a maximum of 30°C using a sports detergent for best care of the Definitivo fabric and the chamois.
- Leave to air dry; the tumble dryer will damage the elasticity and the chamois.
- Pair the bib tight with overshoes; the zip-free ankle finish ensures less bulk under them.
